With the holidays right around the corner, we wanted to remind all of our clients of our screen printing schedule so that you can plan accordingly for your next order. Below is the dates we will be closed for screenprinting:

Thanksgiving:
Thursday 11/26 and Friday 11/27

Christmas/New Years:
Friday 12/18 through Friday 1/1

As a reminder, our production time is currently 7-10 business days and that does NOT include art creation, order form creation, or shipping.

Be on the look-out since we will be posting some of our garments that we will be selling at our TDEA booth in January!

Mirror Finish Decoration

This is a really cool way to decorate a jacket. It's a silver mirror-finish/matte black (other colors available) application.

Trendy All-Over Print

We are noticing a huge trend of very basic tees being decorated with very trendy designs.

This is a great example of some of our latest screen printing techniques we can offer. It's an oversized, all-over print using both red foil and various shades of water-base ink in grey.

The combination on a basic white tee is absolutely beautiful and extremely high-end retail-looking!

A Few Things to Note:
*Waterbase/Discharge inks feel very similar to the garment itself, rather than a plastic-y overlay (standard plastisol screen printing).
*Not all garments are created equal when using waterbase/discharge ink...ask us which garments are best!
*The Oversized/All-Over and Discharge/Waterbase print requires a minimum of 144 garments.
*Standard Production time for both the waterbase/discharge and/or Oversized/All-Over Printing is 10-15 bus. days, not including shipping.

Mini Dance Camp Fundraiser

This is our stock mini camp design. Perfect for when you want to give a t-shirt to your mini camp participants.

To make this mini camp t-shirt a fundraiser, we suggest asking your local business within your community for sponsorship ads to put on the back! This is a great way to make even more money for your Mini Camp since your t-shirt costs usually cut into your profit!

From Start to Finish

Here is an example below of how we can take a drawing and translate it into a working piece of art for shirts.

The West Brook Stars in Beaumont, TX gave us this rough sketch on ruled paper back in January at TDEA.

Cindy then created this art for both the front and the back based on the drawing.

Next, the art was put on the garments that had been selected so that the Stars could see a virtual of what the finished printing would look like.

An order form was then created to email to West Brook so they could print it out and make copies to pass out.

What's really cool about the order form is that the West Brook Stars had initially planned on ordering a total of 72 shirts but after passing out the order form, they were able to sell 144 shirts!

What a wonderful convention it was this year! We had such a great time getting to know all of the directors that came by our booth and it seems that the wearables we were selling were a big hit!

The Best Fundraiser Ever!

We recently launched our latest school design for fundraising and boy has it been a huge hit for all the schools involved. It has been our Alma Mater design and many of our schools can't keep the shirts stocked long enough.

Lisa Smentek is the director for the Allen HS Tallenettes located in Allen, TX and she has currently purchased 688 Alma Mater tees to sell. Here is the shirt they have been selling to their schools/community.
I believe that she has basically sold every last one of them. Read what she has to say about this particular fundraiser:

This t-shirt has been the "Best" fundraiser ever!!!! Amii chose a truly unique design including our Alma Mater and our mascot in a retro style font that was the coolest shirt I ever saw. Our boosters marketed the shirt at lunches, we sent samples to every school for faculty to purchase and the local Bar-B-Que restaurant at the stadium gives us set-up privileges every home game. We can't keep our stock in!!! Yesterday I (received) a shipment of another 144 shirts and by 5 PM we were down to 12!!!!! What a great dilemma to have!!!! Not only has it been great for the treasury, but it has really brought the town together and given our program a GREAT image in our community. I can't wait until next year to see what Amii can design for us!!!

We actually made $9 and $10 profit per shirt. All we have left are our samples at the elementary schools. (18) We also sold to the girls for $10 to have them wear them as promotional. That was HUGE!!! They wore them the day before they went on sale - students went NUTS!!! I was really blown away with the sales to adults!!!! We sold probably as many adult shirts as students!! It is so cool going to Hobby Lobby, Lowe's, Kroger and seeing our shirt on someone in the store!!

Lisa - Allen High School Tallenettes

The Tallenettes have made about $5000 PROFIT in a little over 2 weeks. They have several dates, such as Homecoming, that they know will be big selling days for them. Way to go AHS Tallenettes for your great fundraising profit!! We can't wait to here what all of that fundraising money is going towards!

For the Texas Coast

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you on the Texas coast as you prepare for the nasty Hurricane Ike. Please know that we, here at TRENDY expressions, are praying that this unwelcome visitor will dissapate and spare the Gulf Coast a direct hit.
